Annabelle A. Bottone

Annabelle A. Bottone, 90, a loving mother and grammie of 5866 North St., Limestone, NY, passed away, Sunday, April 13, 2014, at her residence.

Born January 13, 1924, in Limestone she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Giardini.

On January 1, 1942 in Limestone, she married Francis T. Bottone, who died on March 15, 2001.

Mrs. Bottone was a 1941 graduate of Limestone High School. She had been employed at Zippo Manufacturing and retired after 30 years of service. After her retirement she worked for her son at Raffael's Cafe for 16 years.

She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Annabelle enjoyed camping at Red Oak with family and friends and her trips to Las Vegas playing the slot machines.

She was the happiest spending time with her family which was almost daily and cooking for them. Anytime you stopped at Annabelle's the coffee pot was always on.

A couple of years ago she adopted a barnyard kitty and named him Bubbie. He was a faithful companion to the very end and the light of her life.

She is survived by two daughters, Marianne (the late Richard) Baxter, of Apex, NC, and Bonnie (John) Spry, one son Ralph (the late Patricia) Bottone all of Limestone, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers Richie Giardini and Berto Giardini.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St. where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 17, 2014, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
