Michael "Tom" Spittler

Michael T. "Tom" Spittler, 64, formerly of Limestone, passed away, Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Bradford Manor.

Born in El Paso, TX on October 15, 1949, he was a son of late Charles A. "Chuck" and Constance "Connie" (Vaughn) Spittler, of Limestone.

Tom was a 1968 graduate of Limestone High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Dresser Clark in Olean for many years.

He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens Football fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR and being with his beloved dog Daisy May.

In addition to his mother he is survived by a son, Michael (Cyndee) Spittler, of CA, two grandchildren Macayla Spittler and Jace Spittler, his lifelong companion Karen Courteau,of Bradford, her children, Bruce "Twerp" Courteau, and David Nellis, their children, Maverick Courteau, Katie Jo Courteau, Cayden Nellis and Cody Nellis, one brother, Todd Spittler and two sisters, Kim Guzan and Michelle Holly, all of Bradford, several nieces and nephews, two aunts and one uncle. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Larry Spittler.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 2, 2014, from Noon to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 1:00pm with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
