Charles Alan Christjohn

Charles Alan Christjohn, 81, formerly of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Sena Kean Manor. 

 

Born May 23, 1932 in Kane, he was a son of the late Theodore and Leona (Wilson) and Christjohn.

 

He was a graduate of Bradford High School and served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in Korea. 

 

He owned and operated Rew Machine Shop for a number of years and then worked at Bovaird and Seyfang as a machinist until his retirement. 

 

He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting trips to Montana and Wyoming, as well as being a lover of Basset Hounds and Beagles. 

 

He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Jo (Carl, Jr.) Spehar, of Bradford and Michele (Walter) Barnes, of Cary, NC; three grandchildren, Carlinda Spehar of Bristol, TN and Keegan and Joshua Swank of Cary, NC; a brother, Bruce Christjohn and several nieces and nephews. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. 

 

There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Kane. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
