Rosanne Backer, 71, formerly of 147 Davis St. Bradford, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Gowanda Nursing Home.
Born October 15, 1942 in Buffalo, she was a daughter of the late Louis R. and Ruth A. (Bradish) Borsa Sr. She was a 1960 graduate of Bradford High School.
On November 9, 1963 in Bradford, she married Donald J. Backer, who died on December 1, 2008.
She attended St. Bernard Church, and was very active in Boy Scouts of America and Bradford High School Football Boosters, along with her husband.
She worked as a Clerk at CVS Drug Store for over 28 years.
Surviving are two sons Kevin (Jodi) Backer, of West Seneca NY, and Jeffrey (Debbie) Backer, of Mechanicsburg, one sister, Nancy (Craig) Campbell, of Bradford, two brothers, Peter (Anne) Borsa, and Louis Borsa Jr., both of Chicago, 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Arthur Borsa.
Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held on Thursday June 5, 2014 at 10:00am with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
