Rose A. Sadowski, 65, of Lewis Run, formerly of Congress St., Bradford, passed away, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1949 in Cattaraugus, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ray Golley and Ruby (Miles) Golley who resides in Franklinville. She was a 1968 graduate of Franklinville High School.
Rose had been employed at Motorola in Arcade for many years. In 1992 she graduated from Jamestown Community College with a degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She then worked as a counselor at the Drug & Alcohol Clinic in the Salamanca Hospital
On June 12, 1993 she married Stanley E. Sadowski Sr. who died October 13, 2004.
Sister Sadowski was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Olean and served on the Relief Society and was the visiting teaching coordinator.
Mrs. Sadowski enjoyed crocheting, watching WWE Wrestling, visits from Danny Morrisroe, going on road trips with Becky Curcio and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela (Bill Morrisroe) Yovichin, of Rixford, and Julieann (Michael) Grover, of Bradford, one son Jason (Bethany) Tojdowski, of Otto, NY, one stepson Stanley E. Sadowski, of Delevan; two grandchildren, Caleb Bantle, and Kylee Grover; two step grandchildren, John Sadowski and Madic Grover; one sister, Beverly Fisher of WI, two brothers, Paul Golley of Franklinville and Allen Golley of GA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, husband and a sister Patricia Bernardski.
Friends are invited to call from 2-4 PM, Friday, June 13, 2014 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., South Avenue. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday June 14, 2014 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1935 Windfall Road, Olean NY. Presiding at the service will be Elder Wade Robertson, First Counselor in the Bishopric.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
