Steven E. Kriz

Steven E. Kriz, 60, of Homestead Ave., formerly of Limestone, passed away, Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born October 5, 1953, in Bradford he was a son of the late George E. Kriz and Elnora (Ammons) Kriz - Morgan who survives.

On November 16, 1996 in Clinton MA, he married Kim D. (Barr) Kriz who survives.

Mr. Kriz was a 1971 graduate of Limestone High School. After high school he worked at Birdwell, then Bradford Meats and Provisions and later for American General Life Ins. Co. as and insurance salesman. He moved to the Boston area and worked at Weetabix Corporation for 7 years. He returned to the Bradford area and worked for the Briar Patch, Pine Acres Country Club, on the grounds crew, and for the last 11 years at Zippo Mfg.

He was a former member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Limestone, and a member of the Pine Acres Country Club.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a daughter, Tammy L. Komidar, a son, Steven (Nina) Kriz, Jr., and a step daughter, Jennifer (John) Ryder, all of Bradford, a step son, Jeremy (Diane) Ryder, of MA, 7 grandchildren, Kayla, Justin, Crystal, Jenya, Emily, Nicholas and Elizabeth, one great grandson Vincent, three sisters, Christine (Jerry) van der Horst, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Karen (William) Benedict, of Bradford, and Theresa (Jim) Stoddard, of Limestone, two brothers, Ron (Mary Jo) Kriz, of Boston, and Thomas (Jill) Kriz, of Pittsburgh, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather Keith F. Morgan.

Friends will be receiving on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am in St. Bernard Church, at 11:00am a Mass of Christian Burial will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
