Geoffrey Matthew Hannon

Geoffrey M Hannon, 64, of Conway, SC, formerly of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Conway Memorial Hospital in Conway SC. Born August 28, 1950 in Bradford, he was a son of the late J. Harry and Gwen J. (Harmon) Hannon. He was a 1968 graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School and later graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He was a member and past alter server at St. Bernard Church. He was a petroleum engineer for over 35 years and worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for serveal years. He played Little League Baseball, lettered in Football in high school, and coached Little League Baseball in Bradford. He enjoyed basketball and golf. Surviving is one daughter, Kristen (Lou) Miraglia, of Conway SC, one son, Dennis (Linda) Hannon, of Ransomville NY, two sisters, Colleen (David) Nuzzo, of Bradford and Kathleen (Ronald) Symington, of Bradford, four grandchildren, Hannah Hannon, Grace Hannon, Wes Hannon, and Baylor Miraglia, one niece Sara Flores-Lovo and one nephew Andrew Nuzzo. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Clair and Dorothy Harmon and Matthew and Marie Hannon. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Noon with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
