Edward F. Greek

Edward F. Greek, 73, of 1149 East Main Street, passed away, Sunday, November 16, 2014, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center. Born December 9, 1940, in Carrollton, NY he was a son of the late Alvia L. and Edna (Kline) Greek. On June 29, 1963 in Bradford he married Cynthia L. (Coldren) Greek who survives. Mr. Greek attended Limestone High School. He had been employed at W.R. Case Cutlery and Son's and later at Cutco in Olean for 17 years retiring on May 1, 2004. He enjoyed yard work, mowing lawns, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and his faithful dog, Woody. In addition to his wife, of fifty one years, he is survived by four daughters, Laurie A. (Jason) Lingaton, and Valerie L. (Brian) Nichols, all of Duke Center, Patricia A. (Todd) App, of Eldred, and Sandra J. (Todd) Burkhouse, of Bradford, one son, Kenneth E. (Cindy) Greek, of Bradford, eight grandchildren, Joshua, Kenna, Johnny, Brittany, Austin, Samantha, Jerry and Chelsea, one great grandson Patrick and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Shirley, Dorothy, and Jule and three brothers, Harry, Sonny and his twin brother Edwin. Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, November 20, 2014, with Rev. Rick Price, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society 95 Main Street Bradford, PA 16701.
