Yrsa Larsen

Yrsa Larsen 70, of 180 Summer St. Bradford, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her residence.

Born January 24, 1944 in Karlslunde, Denmark, she is the daughter of Greta (Molin) Larsen of Bradford and the late Niels Edward Larsen who died December 30, 1988.

Yrsa was a 1962 graduate of Bradford High School.

She began her career at Bradford Hospital in the Radiology Department and retired after 30 years of service. She continued to work for 8 years at the Tin Ceiling Gift Shop.

She loved to shop, do interior decorating, and supporting the efforts of the SPCA. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and lifelong friends.

Surviving is one daughter, Kristina (Jim) Case, of Bradford, Yrsa's longtime companion Charles Fair of Bradford, 4 grandchildren Alec and Andrew Kuzmeskas and Kortny and Timothy Case, one uncle and several cousins back in Denmark.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday January 8, 2015 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., at which time funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Mike McAvoy Pastor of the Open Arms Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the SPCA, P.O. Box 113, Bradford, PA 16701 or the Bradford Hospital Auxiliary, or a charity of the donor's choice.
