John H. Currie, 61, formerly of 598 East Main St., Bradford, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born March 31, 1953 in Kane he was a son of John H. and Virginia (Hoyt) Currie.

John was a very dedicated employee at Futures for over 40 years and never missed a day of work.

He participated in Special Olympics, he loved bowling, softball and baseball. He was a avid baseball fan, listening to music and spending time with his dog "Jake".

Surviving is one brother, Steve D. Currie, of Bradford.

John was preceded in death by his longtime companion Sharon A. Petitt who died November 8, 2014.

There will be no public services. Private services will be held at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave with the Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired pastor officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
