Joy Tarasek, 75, of 5647 Nichols Run, Limestone, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Absolute Care Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Salamanca.

Born July 14, 1939 in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Clara (Buchanan) and Alvin Falconer.

On December 21, 1985, in Limestone she married John L. Tarasek who survives.

Mrs. Tarasek was a 1957 graduate of Bradford High School. She was a member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Bradford Legion Post #108 Auxiliary and the Marchee Club. One of her favorite pastimes was reading.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Tina (Jeff) Hendryx, of Lewis Run, three sons Jerry (Hoa) Bosworth, of Dayton, OH, Kenneth (Denise) Bosworth, of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Timothy (Erin) Bosworth, of Bradford, two step daughters, Debby Kaznica, of Cheektawaga, and Kim Middaugh, of Limestone, eight grandchildren Jennie White, Kenneth White, Michael Bosworth, Emily Bosworth, Kenneth Bosworth, Gina Bosworth, Brandy Cucuzza, and Leslie Falcon. She was preceded in death by a daughter Joy Thiel, and four son's Terry Nichols and Danny, David, and Michael Bosworth.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 8, 2015, from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., at which time funeral and committal services will be held at 6:00pm with Rev, Patrick Melfi pastor of Our Lady of Peace Church in Salamanca, NY. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
