Jean K. Gross, 86, a grateful resident of the Bradford Ecumenical Home for 9 years and formerly of Vero Beach Florida, passed away, Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born May 31, 1929 in Hazel Hurst, she was the daughter of the late William Whitmire and Iva (Huff) Clark.

On February 12, 1949 in Bradford, she married Clayton E. "Gus" Gross, who died on August 5, 2007.

Mrs. Gross was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School. She raised her family and moved to Indiana, and then returned to Bradford and began working at Zippo Manufacturing, and retired after 20 years of service.

She volunteered her time at the Bradford Hospital Gift Shop and was a member of the I.A.P.C

Mrs. Gross was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed riding her bike with her family

Surviving are three children, a daughter, Sharon  Grice and two sons, Clayton Theodore Gross and Jack Gross all, of Bradford, a sister in law, Ricka Transue of Bradford, six grandchilden, Tim (Heather) Gross, Todd (Amy) Gross, Tom (Stacy) Gross, Scott Gross, Allison Gross and Ashley Work, and nine great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 2:00pm on Friday, December 4, 2015, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, 372 East Main Street, with Rev. Matt Blake, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish officiating.
