James E. Croker

James E.  Croker, 86, of 49 Jerome Ave., Bradford, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016, at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born September 9, 1929 in Bradford, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Mason) Croker.

Mr. Croker was a 1947 graduate of St. Bernard's High School.

Jim was inducted into the Army on February 13, 1951, and served as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. On February 13, 1953, he was honorably discharged from active duty. He served in the reserves until February 7, 1957. After the war he returned home and attended St. Bonaventure University and graduated with a degree in accounting.

Mr. Croker had worked for Forest Oil Company as an accountant for 29 years, retiring in 1989.

Jim was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and St. Bernard Church.

He was the last living member of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Mary T. Croker and Alberta L.Croker.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Monday, February 22, 2016 in St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
