Robert T. Schermerhorn

Robert T. Schermerhorn, 45, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, of 17 Pithole Road, Cyclone, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born July 9, 1970, in Bradford he was a son of the late Fred E. Schermerhorn and Twila (Raught) Schermerhorn who resides at Sena-Kean Manor.

On June 10, 1995, in Cyclone, he married Sandra A. (Rounsville) Schermerhorn who survives.

Mr. Schermerhorn was a 1990 graduate of Smethport High School. He had worked at the DeSoto Holiday House as a busboy, bartender and at the driving range. In 1993 he began his employment with Georgia Pacific until present.

He was a former member of the Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends, hunting, fishing, golfing, spending time in his garage.

Surviving in addition his wife, is a daughter, Taylar (Tyler Saulter) Schermerhorn, of Cyclone, three sons, Dylan Schermerhorn, of Cyclone, Kaleb Newbrough, of Cyclone, and Vai Wimpelberg of Roulette, one sister, Lorie Gault, of Bradford, two brothers, Fred E. Schermerhorn, Jr, of Springfield, WV, and Marty W. Schermerhorn, of Cyclone, one grandson Zayden Saulter, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, March 3, 2016, from 3:00 to 6:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 6:00pm with Rev. Frank Eppley, pastor of Emanuel Mission Church of Kane, officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
