Erma L. Hanson, 76, formerly of Rich Drive and later the Bushnell Street Apartments, passed away, Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Bradford Manor.

Born September 23, 1039 in Corryville, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. Mangel and Winifred E. (Hibbard) Mangel.

She was the wife of Dale E. Hanson, Sr., who died on September 9, 2004. They were married at the First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hanson graduated from Smethport High School and attended Mercyhurst College in Erie. She was very active in her young children's activities at the YMCA and PTA. She later became involved with the National Federation of the Blind.

Erma enjoyed her hobbies, crafting and crocheting. He most specials times were spent with her children, grandchildren and family gatherings.

Surviving is one daughter, Betty Hanson, of Bradford, one son, Dale E. "Eddie" (Delcie) Hanson, of Albion, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one sister, Wilma Owens of Bradford, one brother Ron Mangel, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews in the Buffalo area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin daughters, Debby Hanson and Delia "De" Musolino, three brothers, Harold, Leonard and Delbert Mangel.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Ave., at  5:00pm where funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Dan Mills pastor of the Bradford Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorial if desired may be made to the support of the National Federation of the Blind or a charity of the donor's choice.
