James B. Moore

James B. Moore, 80, of West Warren Road, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born May 24, 1935, in Bradford, he was a son of the late C. Robert and Audrey Marie (Olson)   Moore.

On April 21, 1967, in Warren, he married Audrey Fay (Payne) Moore who died November 7, 2013.

Jim enlisted in the United States Navy on January 27, 1955 and was honorably discharged December 10, 1958. He served in the US Navel Reserves until January 26, 1963.

Mr. Moore had been employed at Corning Glass Works, Speers, Skat Gas Station and later as a printer and worked the maintenance department at McCourt Label.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman that loved nature and planting trees. He especially loved his family and friends. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He was kind, generous and loved by all that knew him.

Surviving is one daughter, April Moore, of Bradford, one sister, Dianne (Richard) Nevans, of Medina, OH, one brother, Terry (Mary Kay) Moore, of Allegany, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one son Stacy J. Moore who died June 8, 1986.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 3 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, with Rev. Jonathan Colby, Pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church, officiating. Burial of his ashes will be at his favorite hunting spot and at his farm property he so loved.
