Bonnie Mae Simmons, 71, of Port Allegany, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born November 27, 1944 in Marvindale, she was a daughter of the late Junius and Phyllis (Bizzaro) Himes.

She enjoyed using computers, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by seven children, Lisa (Malcolm) Ivey of Port Allegany, Diana (Nick) Elliott of Bradford, Guylynn (Kent) Garland of Virginia Beach, VA, John (Lisa) Simmons of Sioux Falls, SD, Patrick (Vicki) Simmons of Sheldon, Ill, Adam Meeker of Virginia Beach, VA and Guy (Melinda) Simmons of Hampton, VA; two sisters, Mary C. Himes-King of Port Allegany and Patty (Bob) Arcadi of Calimesa, CA; a brother in law, Les Hart of Bradford; three children whom she helped raise, Jackie, Dakota, and Renee King; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dawn Marie, a granddaughter, Brittany L. Garland, a sister, Sandra Hart and a Brother, Junius Himes, Jr. 

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the large pavilion at Callahan Park.
