Virginia Mary Boyer, 69, a loving mother, grandmother and sister, of Lewis Run, and formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away, Thursday, August 4, 2016, the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born December 31, 1946, in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Rita (O'Reilly) Boyer.

Ms. Boyer attended East High School in Rochester.

She had worked as a waitress at the Blue Gardenia and Captain Tony's in Rochester.

Virginia was best known for her cooking. She loved cooking for her family and friends.

Surviving is a daughter, Nancy Howard, of Lewis Run, two sons, Troy Boyer, of Lewis Run, and Joshua Boyer, of Rochester, NY, a sister, Judy (Karl) Thiel, a brother, Michael (Julie) Boyer, all of Jacksonville, FL, four grandchildren, Chyonie Thornton of Lewis Run, Juliana Boyer, Jolena Boyer and Janessa Boyer all of Rochester, NY, one niece Kristina Anderson, and two nephews, Jeffrey Thiel and Michael Boyer

At the request of Ms. Boyer there will be no public visitation. Private services will be held for the family. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Syracuse, NY
