Josephine M. Petillo

Josephine M. 'Jo' Petillo, 100, of 3 Brennan Street, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at her residence.

Born December 2, 1915 in Smethport, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Marianna  (Amanzia) Bizzaro.

On August 18, 1956, in their home on Brennan Street, she married Edward Petillo, who passed away April 18, 2000.

She was a member of St. Bernard Church.

Mrs. Petillo worked many jobs, including The Silk Factory, Woolworth's and finally retiring from Owens-Illinois in 1980. 

She is survived by two step daughters, Debby (George) Whitney, with whom she resided and Mary K. (John) Koscelnik, of Burton, OH and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, including, Lucy Nuzzo, Al (Stephanie) Nuzzo, Louis (Barb) Nuzzo and Mary Ann (Mark) Anderson and their families; four grandchildren, Scott (Kim) Whitney, Brenda Wilson, Matt (Kathlyn) Koscelnik and Tim (Rhonda) Koscelnik. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step son, Ricky Petillo and all of her siblings, Marion Luzzi, Ben Bizzaro, Patrick Bizzaro, Michael Bizzaro, Frank Bizzaro, Anthony 'Tony' Bizzaro and Ralph Bizzaro and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM, Saturday, September 10, 2016 in St. Bernard Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.  Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to The McKean County SPCA or to the charity of the donor's choice.
