Helen C. Burgoon

Helen Cleo Burgoon, 91, of Bradford, formerly of Duke Center, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born in Callensburg, on September 1, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Louise (Flick) Cook.

On July 28, 1945 in St. Catherine Church in DuBois, she married Laurence R. Burgoon, who died on July 3, 2003.

She was a member of St. Bernard Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Christine (Bruce) Schuessler, of Duke Center, Mary Susan Fowler, of Eldred, Nancy Pascale, of Bradford, Linda Fox Wankel (James), of Duke Center, and Lori (Robert) Gross, of Eldred, two sons, Michael (Marilyn) Burgoon, of Rew, and Andrew (Beth) Burgoon, of Bradford, one sister, Ethel Reynolds, of Brookville, 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters Bernice Searer, and Betty Nick, one brother Robert Cook, and one great grandson, Gabriel Gross, two sons-in-law, Allen Fowler and Patrick Fox.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday September 28, 2016, from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave. where a prayer service will be held at Thursday at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bernard Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Committal services and burial will be in Scotch Hill Cemetery in Leeper at 10:30am Friday.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Friendship Table or St. Bernard Church Building Fund.
