Jeanne H. Johnson

Jeanne H. Johnson, 66, of 60 Derrick Road, passed away, Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her residence.

Born October 28, 1949 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late George and Betty E. (Anderson) Johnson. 

She was a 1967 graduate of Bradford High School and received her Nursing Degree from Jamestown Community College. 

She began her nursing career as an LPN at Bradford Hospital.  After completing her Nursing Degree, she continued to work at Bradford Hospital as an RN. She worked in OB., CCU, was a part time Nursing Supervisor and then worked in Surgical Services.  She retired from BRMC in 2014 as the director of Pre Admission Testing after many years of service. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her horses and was a bird dog enthusiast. 

She is survived by a daughter, Heather (Jeff) Ward; two grandchildren, Kristopher Johnson and Jordan Ward; a brother, George (Shirley) Johnson, all of Bradford and several cousins, including Kim and Joe Caldwell and their daughter, Katie and Kris and Bruce Young and their daughters, Sarah and Amanda. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Gay Johnson, in infancy. 

At Jeanne's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.  Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park. 

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the McKean County SPCA, The Memorial Fund at the Pavilion at BRMC or to the charity of the donor's choice.
