Jeanne K. Bell

Jeanne K. Bell, 92, formerly of 10 Dennis Lane, passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born October 24, 1923, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Helen (Johnson) Brown.

On November 3, 1945, in Bradford she married Russell W. Bell, who died on December 14, 1982.

Mrs. Bell was a 1941 graduate of St. Bernard High School. She had been employed by Dr. Paul Whelan as a dental technician, and had worked for a time at Bradford Supply Company. She then became a stay at home mom to raise her family. In 1960, she went to work at S M Gleason Company as a secretary and retired in 1986. After her retirement she volunteered at the Bradford Hospital Resale Shop for many years.

She was a member of St Bernard Church.

Surviving are three children, one son, John R. Bell of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Karen (Carl) Persichini, of Bethlehem, and Barb (Tim) Lyons, of Bradford, 5 grandchildren, Kristin (Matt) Evancho, Kelly (Brian) Witmer, Jay (Sherri) Lyons, Dan Lyons, Bethany (Casey) Bezner, and 6 great grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle Evancho, Cody and Emily Witmer, Nathan and Madelyn Bezner, two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Marguerite Abbott

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 10:00am to 11:30am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc 372 East Main Street, where a prayer service will be held at 11:30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Francis Church with Rev. Stephen Collins, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
