Phillip W. Sheridan

Phillip W. Sheridan I, 71 of 1207 East Main Street, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016             

Born  May 14, 1945 in Olean, NY, he was a son of the late Wayne J. and Grace (Warner) Sheridan.

On July 1, 1967 in St. Francis Church, he married Linda (Viola) Sheridan, who survives. 

He attended Bradford Schools.  On April 11, 1963, he enlisted in The United States Air Force.  He was honorably discharged April 10, 1967. 

The day after he returned from his military service, he went to work for Casey Cole Chevrolet.  He drove a concrete truck for E.W. Bissett and Sons and retired after 33 years of service. 

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating on the Allegheny Reservoir and spending time at his camp.  He was a devoted grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.   

In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two sons Phillip W.  Sheridan, II, and Scott M. Sheridan, both of Bradford; three grandchildren, Patrick Sheridan, Sophie Sheridan and Sydney Sheridan; two nieces, Marlene Buchanan and Darlene Anderson and one nephew, Phillip Richardson. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Sheridan and a sister, Doris McMillen. 

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Phil's life from 4-7 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Togi's Blue Room on East Main Street. 

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
