David A. Augustine

David A Augustine, 64, Marshburg, passed away, Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born July 31, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Peter "P.A." and Evelyn (Barta) Augustine.

On July 9, 1986, in Cleveland, Ohio, he married Lenore F (Hvizd) who survives.

On December 30, 1969 he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS Thomas Jefferson and was honorably discharged on September 18, 1973.

After the service he returned to Cleveland where he and his brothers owned and operated a towing service and worked on cars. He then started a General Construction Company and redied homes to be remodled. In 1996 he moved to the Bradford Area and worked as a plumber and pipefitter for local companies. In 2007 joined the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union # 47 which and later merged with #449 and retired after 9 years of union work.

In addition to his wife, Lenore of 30 years, he is survived by one daughter, Francine Augustine, and one son, Christopher Augustine both of Bradford, two brothers, Christopher Augustine and Dennis Augustine both, of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Albin and Raymond Augustine.

At Dave's request there will be no public services. Private services will be held for family at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
