Phyllis N. Holden, 73, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, of Rixford, passed away, Friday, November 18, 2016, peacefully, at her daughters residence in Portville.

Born January 9, 1943, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Doris (Becker) Volentine.

She was married for 42 years to Arthur D. Holden Sr. who died, February 19, 2010.

Phillis attended Limestone High School. Some of her favorite hobbies were knitting, bowling, bingo, playing games on the computer, and Facebook. She loved to go camping and sit around the campfires at night, but her most enjoyable times were spent with family and friends especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Dori Carlson, of Westline, Shelley (Ron) Pollock, of Portville, Donna  Lyons, of Boston, MA, and Neldora (Heath) Lawrence, of Port Allegany, three sons Arthur D. Holden, Jr., of Rixford, Ralph Holden, and Michael Holden, both of Bradford. 20 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant son and a daughter Colleen Hannahs.

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 2 to 4pm & 6 to 8pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, with Rev. Marilyn Hale, of the First Presbyterian Church in Portville, officiating. Burial will be in Rixford Cemetery.
