Carolyn D. McCormick

Carolyn D. McCormick, 85, a lifelong resident of Bradford, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016, at BRMC.

Born May 10, 1931, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Lyman A. and Myrtle Lola (Patterson) Clyne.

On August 2, 1947, she married Carlton Verne McCormick, who died on November 29, 1989.

Mrs. McCormick started her working career at Loblaw’s Grocery Store as head cashier, then became the owner of the B&O Record Store and also sold Avon for many years. Later she worked at the family business Clyne Builders as the business manager for 30 years.

She enjoyed doing Suduko Puzzles and spending time with her family, especially the time she spent with her grandkids.

Surviving is a daughter, Penny (Lee Steve) Fitzsimmons, and a son, Mick (Beth) McCormick, all of Bradford, a sister, Ruth "Dee" (Michael) Smith, of Douglassvile, a brother, James (Pamela) Clyne, of New Egypt, NJ, a step sister, Violet Wagner, of Bradford and a step-brother, Wallace Gage, of TN, 2 grandchildren, Christopher McCormick and Zachary McCormick, 3 great-grandchildren, Ariel, Harlee and Christopher McCormick, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Candace Lee McCormick, step-mother, Ester Clyne, one brother David Clyne, two sisters, Phyllis Bess and Nancy Reynolds, and one step-sister, Betty Kohler.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
