Zao Shon Liang, 76, of 33 Vista Ave. Extension, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his residence. .
Born March 21, 1940 in Lu-Kang, Taiwan, he was a son of the late Ki Sin and Fu Shi Liang.
On January 12, 1972 in Ann Arbor, MI, he married Chinyu Victoria (Huang) Liang who survives.
He earned a B.S. in Pharmacy from National Taiwan University and then a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Michigan. He served his internship in the Pharmacy at St. Francis Hospital and then moved to Bradford to work for the new Revco Pharmacy, where he continued to work after the merger with CVS. He retired from K-Mart Pharmacy as the Pharmacist in Charge.
He was a lover of classical music, books and movies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lillian (David) Emlet, Kimberly Liang and Kelly Liang; a granddaughter, Caitlin Emlet, all of Pittsburgh and a brother, James T. (Sue) Liang, of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by his sister Yuan-Tai (Wu-Fang) Liang, brother Chao-Hua (Hsiu-Chih), and brother Pei-Hwa (Mei-Chang) Liang in Taiwan.
Family will be receiving friends from 12 Noon to 1 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., South Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbterian Minister, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
