Kathleen M. Hamric

Kathleen M. Hamric, 57, of 3 Ranch Road in Lewis Run, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 in Olean General Hospital.

Born February 13, 1959 in Olean, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Anna Marie (Granata) Hamric, Jr. 

A 1977 graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School, she received her Associate's Degree from Olean Business Institute. 

After her schooling was completed, she worked for LTV, Mutzabaugh and Mutzabaugh and then Minard Run Oil Company.  At the time of her death, she was an executive secretary at Future's Rehabilitation, Inc. 

She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Lewis Run and an associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph. 

She was an active member of the Desk and Derrick Club, serving as a director and President and also was a member of the Bradford Area Women's Club. 

She is survived by her sister, Susan Hamric of Bradford, two cousins Stephen (Gail) Grillo of Bradford, and their two sons, Matthew (Lauren Brown) Grillo of Rochester, NY and John Grillo of Denver, CO and Barb Burkhouse of Bradford. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her dog, Kassie. 

Friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., East Main St.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, Pastor, as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Dear Sue, I just saw Kathy in Jan. at a mass for my father. She made sure she was there. We hugged and talked after mass. I am truly devastated by her sudden passing. She was the caretaker of so many, so thoughtful, kind and sweet. She is truly an angel in heaven now as she was one here on earth for so long.
