William Hemingway

William Hemingway, 89, of Chapel Ridge, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at The Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born September 1, 1927 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Paul and Stella (Muscleman)  Hemingway.

He was a graduate of Philadelphia High School and was a mail handler for The United States Post Office, retiring after 35 years of service. 

He is survived by three nieces, Chris (Ron) Fehlman of Youngsville, Kim (Bill) Graham of Bradford and Shirley (Jeffrey) Pecora of Lewistown and one nephew,, Fred William Hemingway of Pittsburgh. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Frank, Paul and Fred Hemingway and one niece, Roberta Barnstorff.

There will be no public visitation and funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn. 

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
