Patricia E. Blessing

Patricia  E. Blessing, 77, of 100 St. Francis Drive, received her angel's wings Monday, March 6, 2017 at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born October 9, 1939 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Jordan) Renwick.

On January 9, 1965, she married Jack Blessing, who passed away June 1, 2016.

She was a 1957 graduate of Bradford High School and a graduate of Bradford Hospital School of Nursing

She worked as an LPN for all of her working career.  Starting at Bradford Hospital in the OR, she then worked as a nurse for Dr. Aguinaldo in Bradford as well as working at Sena Kean Manor.  She then worked for Dr. Nayak until her retirement.  After she retired, she continued to be a PRN Nurse for Dr. Graham as well as a substitute nurse for the school district.  

She was a member of First Baptist Church.  She was a Girl Scout Leader, volunteered and was past President of the McKean County American Cancer Society, an officer of the former Moose Lodge, and past President of the Bradford Business and Professional Women's Club.  She was a Nurse of Hope, volunteered for the Bradford satellite for the Buffalo Children's Hospital Telethon. 

She was active with the Bradford High School Alumni Association and the Bradford High Class of 1957 Reunion Committee and an avid bowler.  

She is survived by a daughter, Marsha (Shawn Whitsell) Blessing, of Eldred; three grandchildren, Christopher Maluchnik, Edward Maluchnik and Heidi Elliott; one great granddaughter Sophia Benson; a brother, Paul Renwick of St. Lucie, FL; four nieces, Ronda Skoken, Doreen Carl, Stacy Taylor and Christine Fritz and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Agnes E. Hungiville and one brother Ronald Renwick.

Family will be receiving friends 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 in The First Baptist Church, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11th,  with Jeremy Childs, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
