Dustin M. Schermerhorn
Dustin M. Schermerhorn, 27, of 3204 Route 646 Gifford, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Born September 11, 1989, in Olean, NY, he was a son of Jessie (Catalano) Wood, of Smethport and Martin W. Schermerhorn, of Cyclone.
Dustin attended Smethport Schools. He was employed as a forge finisher at Metal Dyne. He enjoyed installing car stereos, and playing video games with his son.
In addition to his parents, Marty (Katrina) Schermerhorn and Jessie (Mike) Wood, his lifetime partner, Alison Gallup, with whom he resides, he is survived by a son, Jayce Schermerhorn, of Gifford, two brothers, Derek (Colleen Quinn) Schermerhorn of Bradford, and Caleb Schermerhorn of Smethport, maternal grandmother, Carrie (Harry) Rounsville of Smethport, maternal great grandfather, William Isaman of Eldred, and one niece, Jaelynn Schermerhorn, four step sisters, Carly Wood, of Bradford, Christy Wood, and Corinna Wood, both of Andover, NY, and Justice Hardy, of Cyclone, a step brother, Westley Hardy, of Cyclone, four aunts, two uncles and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Fred and Twila Schermerhorn, maternal grandfather, Gerald Catalano and one uncle, Robert Schermerhorn.
Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 7:00pm with Rev. Max Simms pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
