Everett L. Smith

Everett L. Smith, 40, of 94 School Street, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born in Springfield, MO on June 8, 1976, he was a son of Cecil Smith and the late Debbie (White) Smith.

On March 25, 2002 in Missouri, he married Christie (Armstrong) Smith, who survives. 

In 1999, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.  During his military service, he was stationed in Germany and served in Kosovo.  He was honorably discharged in 2003. 

After his military service was completed, he returned to Missouri and worked in construction and warehouse work. 

In 2009, he moved to Bradford and worked road construction for Glenn O. Hawbaker for a time and for the last two years he had been employed at KOA Speer in the warehouse. 

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, riding 4 wheelers and spending time with family and friends. 

He was a member of V.F.W. Post #212.  

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Chyenne  Smith and a son, Donovan Smith, both at home; two brothers, Charles (Mandy) Smith and Ryan (Jessica) Broyles, all of Missouri; his mother in law, Sheryl Silvis of Bradford; two sisters in law, Nicole Armstrong of West Chester and Jennifer Armstrong of Pittsburgh; two brothers in law, Adam Armstrong of Virginia and Kyle Grandinetti of Bradford and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father in law, Merle Silvis. 

Friends are invited to call from 10-11 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hilltop Baptist Church, where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor, officiating. 

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the McKean County SPCA or to the charity of the donor's choice.
