Marilee E. Nichols

Marilee E. Nichols, 60, of Rixford, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born May 8, 1957 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Gale D. and Lillian (Pendleton) Nichols Sr. She attended Bradford and Otto-Eldred High School and graduated in 1975.

Marilee worked at Duke Center Superette, Big Lots, and as a cook at the University of Pittsburgh @ Bradford.

She spent over 20 years in Girl Scouts, as a leader of Brownies, Junior’s, and Cadet Troops. She was a great influence to many local girls. She was actively involved in and a Life Member of the Otto Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary having served as treasurer and secretary for 30 years. Marilee was an EMT, a member of the Fire Police, and Relief Association, she was also a life member of the Tri-County Auxiliary.

Marilee enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, cake decorating, catering special functions at the fire hall. She loved her cats, Callie, Maxina, and Teddy. She was greatly loved and will be missed by family, friends and the whole community.

Surviving is her sister Valerie L. (Michael Sullivan) Nichols of Rixford, with whom she resided, four brothers William (Sharon) Nichols, Dennis Nichols, all of Rixford, Gale D. (Lisa) Nichols Jr., and Brian (Val) Nichols all of Duke Center, one niece Brittany Nichols, eight nephews Michael Wolbert, Justin, Joshua, David, Brett, Adam, Chad, and Devon Nichols, one great niece and one great nephew, one uncle Wallace "Pete" (Marilyn) Pendleton of Mountian Home ID, family friends Tom (Deb) Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and several aunts and uncles.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life on Saturday September 2, 2017, at 11:00am in the Otto Township Volunteer Fire Department with Rev. Rick Price, of the Church of Christ officiating.

Memorials if desired may be made to the Otto Township Volunteer Fire Department or the Auxiliary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
