Joan M. Johnson

Joan M. Johnson, 89, formerly of 101 Pithole Road, Cyclone, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at The Pavilion at BRMC, Bradford.

Born August 2, 1928 in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Edward A. and Lillian G. (Dighton) Kightlinger. She attended Cyclone and Mt. Alton schools.

Joan was formerly married to Charles Langley and later she married Alton N. Johnson who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons Charles M. "Mickey" (Denise) Langley of Olivehurst CA, Miles L. "Corkey" (Linda) Langley of Shingletown CA, and Rodney A. "Rockey" (Tammy) Langley of Magalia CA, two step sons, Jerry L. (Diane) Johnson, of Bradford, and Dennis W. (Cindi) Johnson, of Cyclone, 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, six brothers, Edward Kightlinger, Eugene Kightlinger, Robert Kightlinger, Harry Kightlinger, Jack Kightlinger (her twin, KIA Korea), James Kightlinger and four sisters, Janet Scherer, Donna Moon, Wanda "Blondie" Moore, Jane O'Neal.

At Joan's request private services will be observed for family only in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunville Cemetery in Cooperstown.

Memorials if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
