Julie A. Gorrell

Julie A. Gorrell, 53, of 183 Pithole Road Cyclone, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Buffalo General Hospital.

Born March 30, 1964 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Ralph E. Barger and Twila J. (Newhouse) Barger of Bradford, who survives.

On April 4, 2001, in Smethport, she married Scott Gregory Gorrell who survives.

Julie was a graduate of Bradford Area High School, and had attended the University of Pittsburgh. She had been employed as a cook at the Pine Acres Country Club and later she worked at W.R. Case Cutlery.

She loved cooking for family and friends, going camping and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by a daughter, Megan R. (Andy Stiable) South, three sons, Matt Simonds, Brian (Katie) Simonds, Kyle South all of Bradford, nine grandchildren, Austin and Matthew Simonds, Peyton, Isaac, Isaiah, and Elijah Simonds, Aaliyah Stiable, Maela and Bowen South, two sisters, Marjorie (David) Schoonover and Donna (Dan) Green, two brothers, Ralph (Amy) Barger, and Kenneth "Fluff" Barger,

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., at 6:00pm funeral services will be held with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Oishei Children’s Hospital for Pediatric Cancer, 818 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.
