Harry L. "Sonnie" Pearce

Harry L. "Sonnie" Pearce, Jr., 79, of 178 Main Street, Duke Center, passed away, Thursday, January 18, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born June 22, 1938 in Punxsutawney, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Adeline D. (Wazelle) Pearce Sr.

Harry was a 1956 graduate of Marion Center High School.

On April 30, 1960 in Rossiter, he married Eva M. (Garvey) Pearce who survives.

He was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church and the Quarter Century Club at Witco. 

Harry had been employed at American Refining Group for over 41 years and retired from the  production department. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop, long walks, the outdoors, singing, but his greatest joy was time spent with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Eva of 57 years, is a daughter, Beverly Jean (Dale) Netzel, of St. Robert's MO, four sons Timothy J. (Rebecca) Pearce, of Newport News, NC, Matthew Todd (Dawn) Pearce, of Duke Center, Richard D. Pearce, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Bradley S. (Kelley) Pearce, of Duke Center, three sisters, Christine (the late Rev. Walter) White, Marion (Larry) White, and Beverly (William) Deems, all of Limestone, three brothers, Raymond (Judy) Pearce, of Dayton, PA, Allen Pearce, of Bradford, and Ronald (Lynn) Pearce, of Rossiter, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Clinton Pearce

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, January 21, 2017 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc, 33. South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am Monday, with Rev. Ron E. Korzeniowski, Pastor of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Canoe Ridge Cemetery in Rossiter.
