William E. Andrews

William E. Andrews, 88, a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather, formerly of Minard Run, went to be with his Lord, on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born June 6, 1930 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Gravitt and Agnes (Fuller) Andrews. He was a 1947 graduate of Bradford High School.

On February 25, 1949 at the DeGolia United Brethren Church, he married Garnet D. (Pratt) Andrews, who died May 9, 2012.

On February 13, 1952 he elisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served as an airplane mechanic. Mr. Andrews was honorably discharged February 13, 1956.

Mr. Andrews had been employed as an electrician at Corning Glass, and retired from Bradford Electronics after 44 years of service.

Bill was a member of the Evans Memorial United Methodist Church, and served in various capacities including running the sound system.

Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Groce, of Bradford, Linda Jane (Dave) Farrell, of Cyclone, two sons, Daniel (Lori) Andrews, of Lynchburg, VA, and Jeff (Sara) Andrews, of Bradford, seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Andrews, Rachel Andrews, Andrew (Brandy Groce, Elizabeth (Faron) Meyer, Raleigh (Jessica) Farrell, Robbie Farrell and Abigail Andrews, seven great grandchildren, Delaney Groce, Easten Groce, William Meyer, Charles Meyer, Jordan Kirk, Josie Kirk, and Rhett Farrell.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Evans Memorial United Methodist Church, where funeral and committal services will be held at 6:00pm with Pastor Ken Duffee, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Funeral arrangemnets are under the direction of Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
