Russell E. Teague

Russell E. Teague, 86, formerly of 22 Bon Air Ave., passed away peacefully Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born in Louisville, KY on April 20, 1932, he was a son of the late Dr. Russell E. and Louise (Hardee) Teague Sr.

Russ was a 1951 graduate of Radnor High School in Wayne, Pa. Following high school he attended Penn State University. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Austin Texas, as part of the Strategic Air Command. After the service he returned to Bradford and worked at James R. Evan's Clothing Store. Russ later worked at Zippo Manufacturing where he retired as a Regional Sales Manager.

On September 17, 1955, in Bradford, he married Nancy V. (Bird) Teague, who died January 11, 2012.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Pennhills Club, Kiwanis Club, where he participated in the Kiwanis Kapers, and served on the board of directors at the Children's Home,

Surviving is one daughter, Lisa (Jim) Dwyer, of Fredericksburg VA, two sons Jack (Jan) Teague, of Livermore CA, and William Teague, of Limestone NY, two grandchildren, Gerad Teague and Allen Dwyer, three great grandchildren, Kiersten, Damien, Sarah, and Rolland, and one sister, Caroline Chandler of Guilford, CT.

Russ will be remembered by his friends and family for his love of storytelling, antiques, history, and hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband and father and an upstanding member of the local community. 

At Russ's request there will be no public services. Burial will be with his wife Nancy in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Care for Children or the Kiwanis Club, or the charity of the donor's choice.
