Joan Joannie Kemick

Joan G. "Joannie" Kemick, 85, of 3 Anthony Lane Bradford, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, peacefully, at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born February 24, 1933, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys M. (Marsh) Hane.

On May 12, 1956 in Bradford, she married Michael F. Kemick who survives.

Mrs. Kemick was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School. She had worked for Helen Nuesbaum's CPA, as a tax preparer for many years.

Joannie was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught preschool. She also was a volunteer at the American Red Cross, delivering Meals on Wheels for many years.

She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, reading and fishing.

In addition to her husband Mike of 62 years, she is survived by one daughter, Lori (Mark) Platt, of Fort Mill, SC, and one son, Joseph (Lyn) Kemick, of Ridgway, one sister, in law, Mary Maxwell of Riverside CA, and five grandchildren, Elizabeth Kemick, Claire Kemick, Andrew Platt, Matthew Platt and Sam Delhunty. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Shirley Confer.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave. at 11:00am a memorial service will be held with Rev. Seth McClymonds, Jr., pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
