Earl "Ed" McCool, 83, of Yohe Road, Bradford, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at The Pavilion @ BRMC.
Born July 23, 1935 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Earl W. and Margaret (Butcher) McCool.
On February 27, 1988 in Bradford, he married Jeanette K. "Jean" (Hand) McCool who survives.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Marche Club, the Eagles, Bradford Moose Lodge, and the VFW Post 212. Ed was passionate about stream fishing.
Ed had worked at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and later for 31 years for Penzoil on the leases at Ormsby and Cyclone.
Surviving in addition to his wife Jean of 30 years, are three daughters, Tina M. McCool, of Lincoln NE, Penny M. (Sue) McCool, of Denton TX, Jody L. (Jeff) Domboski, of Allegany NY, two sons, Fredrick P. (Theresa) McCool of Smethport, Earl E. "Bud" (Debra) McCool, II, of Aiken, one step son, John (Jean) Degolier, of Wendell NC, one step daughter, Debra (Ken) Taggart, of Rixford, one brother, Larry (Carol) McCool, of Bradford, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents,one daughter Carol S. Morgan, four sisters, Patricia Dailey, Betty Nuhfer, Nancy Kaylor, and Wanda Powers, two brothers, Ron McCool and Roy McCool.
Friends will be received on Saturday December 29, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Grace Lutheran Church, followed by a memorial service at 11:00am with Rev. Gerard leFeber, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
Memorials if desired, may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
