Madalyn M. Wehrer, 50, of 1050 East Main Street., Bradford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her residence.
Born November 27, 1970, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Link Dowell and Deborah (Baker) Hudak who survives.
Madalyn was a 1988 graduate of Bradford High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh and studied nursing.
On June 4, 1989, in Dillon SC, she married Charles R. Wehrer who survives.
She formerly worked as a CNA for area business, and recently worked at the YWCA and recently started working for Crossroads.
Madalyn was a mother to all and was always willing to help those in need. She most enjoyed spending her time with her young niece Braelynn, knitting, and socializing.
Surviving is her mother, husband Charles, married 32 years, one daughter, Amanda Wehrer, of Portland, OR, two sons, Stephen Wehrer, of Bradford, and Zachary Wehrer, of Bradford, two sisters, Christine Jordan, of Bradford, Angela Swanson, of Bradford, one brother, Michael Dowell, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her oldest brother, Link Dowell III.
Friends will be received on Thursday July 29, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 372 East Main Street, at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. B.J. Simms, Pastor of the Christian Evangelical Church in Smethport officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Memorial if desired, may be made to the SPCA, or the charity of the donor's choice.
