Leo C. Vecellio

Leo C. Vecellio, 88, of 197 Derrick Road, Bradford, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, with his daughters, and nephew John, by his side. 

Born in Lewis Run, on July 10, 1933, he was a son of the late Sylvio A. and Angelina (Vecellio) Vecellio. He was a graduate of Bradford High School in 1952.

On June 28, 1958, in St. Bernard Church, he married Sally Jo (O'Connor) Vecellio who preceded him in death on March 14, 2007.

Leo had worked at Hanley Brick for over 30 years, the Emery Towers and Pinkerton Security.

He was a member of St. Francis Church, the Mutual Aid Society in Lewis Run, the Italian American Club, and he enjoyed bowling and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Surviving are two daughters, Maureen Curcio, and Coleen Vecellio, both of Bradford, one sister, and Nellie Vecellio, of Lewis Run, one brother, James Vecellio, of Warren, two grandchildren, Christopher Lathrop and Michael (Paige) Lathrop, two great granddaughters, Olivia, and Ella, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sally Jo, two sisters, Louise Dudick and  Lena Cary, and one brother, Henry "Hank"  Vecellio.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Services are private at the convenience of family at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Francis Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
