Barbara Jane Sostakowski

Barbara Jane Sostakowski, 77, of 19 Cherry Street, Bradford, passed away, Friday, August 27, 2021, at Olean General Hospital, with her family by her side.

Born August 7, 1944, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Beatrice (Corwin) Ferris. She was a 1962 graduate of Bradford High School.

On April 16, 1966 in St. Bernard Church, she married Carl H. Sostakowski who survives.

Janie had been employed at Tops Markets as a clerk for over 28 years.

Janie was a former member of the East End Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, Carl of 55 years are two sons, Michael (Sue) Sostakowski, and Joseph (Mary) Sostakowski, all of Bradford, three grandchildren, Zacharey (Amanda) Sostakowski, Rebecca Frank, and Hunter Sostakowski, three great grandchildren, Alexis Frank, Anthony Frank, and Adelynne Sostakowski,and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, and and one brother John W. "Bill" Ferris.

Friends will be received on Wednesday September 1, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave. at 7:00 pm funeral services will be held with Pastor Terri Niver of the First Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
