Wayne P. Anderson Sr.

Wayne P. Anderson, Sr., 77, of 1 Matts Way, Bradford, passed away
Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.
 
Born February 4, 1944, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Harry G.
and Helen D. (Zimmerman) Anderson. He was a 1962 graduate of Bradford
High School.
 
On July 8, 1965 in Olean NY, he married Ida J. Pierotti Anderson who survives.
 
Wayne was formerly employed at Bradford News Company, and Bradford
Laundry. He worked for 26 years for Cummins Construction Company
through the Laborers Local Union #603. He retired in 2005.
 
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and 
the Eagles Club. He enjoyed tending to his fish pond, feeding the birds,
watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, going to the Casino. He enjoyed
helping others, partying in the shed, but most of all spending time
with his family.
 
Surviving in addition to his wife Ida, of 56 years are three daughters, 
Valerie L. Figula, Pam (Cash) Anderson, Rhonda (Tom) Anderson, and  
one son, Wayne (Melissa) Anderson Jr, all of Bradford, five grandchildren, 
Andrew Figula, Daniel Figula, Phillip Figula, Brooklyn Anderson, and Brandon 
Sherk, two sisters, Janet Faye Layfield, of Mooresville NC, and Diane (Jim) 
McLaughlin, of Lewis Run, and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nancy S. Anderson
and Carol A. Bleem, one brother, Harry S. Anderson and son-in-law Joseph
M. Figula.
 
Family and friends will be received on Saturday September 18, 2021, from 10:00 AM to Noon, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, followed by funeral services with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St.Bernard Church, officiating.
 
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill
