James L. Saxton

James L. Saxton, Jr., 78, of Euclid Avenue, Bradford, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Born in Bradford, on September 12, 1943, he was a son of the late James L. and Frances M. (Holsinger) Saxton, Sr.

He was a 1962 graduate of Bradford High School.

On September 23, 1974, in Bradford, he married Radley K. (Dennis) Saxton who preceded him in death on January 22, 2009.

Jim went to work out of high school at Tri Co and worked until 1996. He then worked at Bradford Forest Products another 10 years and retired. In his retirement her worked maintaining the Foster Township Park.

He enjoyed hunting, and fishing and was a former member of the Keating Township Sportsman's Club, he also enjoyed dirt track racing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, but most especially he enjoyed spending time with his son.

Surviving is one son Robert Saxton, of Bradford, two sisters, Jeanne (Dave) Barger, of Limestone NY, and Janet L. (Ray) Hill, of Salamanca, and one brother, Jack Saxton, of Venice FL, several nieces and nephews, including Amy Hendryx, of Bradford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister Jane L. Dragoone who died November 17, 2021.

There will be no public services observed. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Keating Township Sportsman's Club, or a charity of the donor's choice.

I am so sorry to hear James passed. He was my cousin and I had spoken to him earlier in 2021 to catch up. His dad was my moms brother. She passed September 4th. He was a great guy and I was so happy to reconnect and now know why he quit responding. Prayers to his family.
