Words cannot express how heartbroken I am. Aunt Shirley was a great person and even more so, a wonderful aunt. Such a caring person. Always taking care of others. I truly think Needing to take care of others. It’s who she was. Never once putting herself first. My own mother used to call her “Little Mother Hen”. She was always so quiet and reserved until someone really needed to hear it. Just ask my son. Thank you Aunt Shirley he needed that talk. It must have meant something to him because he didn’t forget it. Normally quiet, but at the Orange Blossom Opry I saw her sprout from friend to friend, chatting it up. It was so refreshing to see her having such a great time! Oh and what an incredible cook! If I could have just a fraction of her mad cooking skills I would be happy. So many things that you are, Aunt Shirley! I can’t believe that you’re gone! You will be greatly missed by everyone!! Thank you for just being you! We love you and will miss you!!
— Sheryl Jean Clark (Don Kurtz’s daughter)

I''m saddened to hear of Shirley''s passing. I have a picture of her hugging my dad, Tony Falconi at the Bradford Sr Center as he played his guitar in the band. She was funny and sweet. Prayers of comfort to her family.
