Gloria J. Rankin

Gloria J. Rankin, 87, of 402 Main Street, Duke Center, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at ECMC, in Buffalo NY.

Born November 27, 1934, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Olin D. and Dorothy (Nichols) Louk.

She was a 1953 graduate of Bradford High School.

On June 27, 1953, in Duke Center, she married Fred L. Rankin who preceded her in death on January 16, 1993.

Gloria had been employed at AVX Ceramics in Olean, retiring in 1997.

She was a member of the Duke Center United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary. She loved traveling, seeing new things and visiting with people. She was an avid Euchre player.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (the late Ronald) VanScoter, of Derrick City, and Lorri (the late Robert) Abrams, of Wickenburg AZ, one son, Gary Rankin, of Duke Center, one sister, Norma (the late Vincent) Cavallaro, of Bradford, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Randy E. Rankin who died October 20, 2021, four brothers, Ellis Louk, Donald Louk, Richard Louk, and William Louk, and one sister, Dorothy Hively.

Friends will be received on Friday April 1, 2022, from 4:00 to 7pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00am with Rev. Rick Price, Pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.
