Virginia L. Carvolth Durst

Virginia L. Carvolth Durst, 88, of 1635 E. Cavalry Road, New River, AZ, formerly of Foster Hollow, Bradford, passed away, April 3, 2022, at her residence in Arizona.

Born July 10, 1933, in Kennerdale PA she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Julia (Deets)Titus. She was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School.

On August 28, 1953, in Bradford she married Joseph Carvolth Jr. who preceded her in death on December 31, 1983. On May 26, 1989, she married William A. Durst, who died March 12, 2005.

She worked at the Department of Public Assistance until retirement in 1996.

Virginia, lovingly referred to as “Aunt Ginny” by so many, was a life-long active member of the Sawyer Evangelical Church. She was also involved in Bradford Literary Club, Bradford Christian Women’s Club, and the Bradford Senior Center. She loved traveling, reading, Bible studies, puzzles and playing cards as well as spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is one daughter, Linda Carvolth, of Las Vegas, NV, three sons, Joseph Carvolth, of New River, AZ, Grant Carvolth, of New River, AZ and Matthew Carvolth, of Reno, NV, 3 grandchildren, Garrett Carvolth, Mitchell Carvolth, Hunter Carvolth, and 2 great grandchildren, Teagan Carvolth and Cameron Carvolth and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert C. Titus, and Jack S. Titus.

There will be no public services. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Sawyer Evangelical Church, or a charity of the donor's choice.
