Gregory A. Himes

Gregory A. Himes, 75, of 272 Seaward Avenue,  Bradford, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his residence. 

Born on February 20, 1948, in Bradford, he was  a son of the late Harry E. and Annalee M. (Sinibaldi) Himes.

He was a 1966 graduate of Bradford Area High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on June 5, 1967, he served in Vietnam, at the Phan-Rang Air Force Base. He was honorably discharged on June 4, 1971.

Greg worked in the New England states as a carpenter and later at the Bureau of Land Management in New Castle, WY, as an inspector of oil wells. Greg went back to school at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and earned his Petroleum Tech Degree.  He was self employed with GSP Collectibles, buying and selling cards in the 90's. He was currently working at Beacon Light as a TSS. 

He was a member of St. Bernard Church. He loved all sports and watching them on ESPN. 

Surviving is one sister, Marlene A. Himes, of Bradford, one brother, Robert J. Himes, of Bradford and by many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one uncle Nick Sinibaldi.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, in St. Bernard Church, where at 11:00 am, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held with Rev. John Jacquel, as Celebrant, officiating. Military Honors will follow by members of the United States Air Force and the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 108 at Willow Dale Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
