Ted A. Mackey

Ted A. Mackey, 80, of 822 Bolivar Drive, Bradford, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Pavillion @ BRMC, with his loving daughters by his side.

Born August 5, 1943, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Arthur H. and Lucy E. (Himes) Mackey. He was a 1962  graduate of Bradford High School.

Ted was employed as a machinist at Dresser Manufacturing in Bradford for over 37 years, he retired in 2012.

Ted was an avid hunter in both Pennsylvania and New York states. He was always hunting for the "big buck" and loved to tell many of his stories.  He was a member of the NRA and attended many local turkey shoots.  Ted also enjoyed watching golf and football on TV and going to estate sales and to classic car shows. He loved feeding the deer and simply taking a hike in the woods.
 
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Hall, of Bradford, and Lora (Kevin) Fisher, of Allegany NY, their mother, Fran (Sokoly) Mackey, one uncle, Bob Himes,  several nieces, nephew and several cousins. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Donna Kilpatrick, and infant sister Sandra Lee Mackey, one brother, James W. Mackey and nephews.

At the request of Ted's wishes there will be no public services observed. Private services will be held for family and friends at a later date.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the McKean County SPCA.
